It seems like everyone and their mother has seen Tom Petty out on his new tour except me. Womp-womp. So when I found this Free People dress online at Urban Outfitters in all of it's earthy-yet-grungy glory, it took me back to the style I grew up trying to emulate. Unfortunately for me, by the time I was old enough to buy Doc Martens and flannel, leggings and oversized sweaters made a comeback.
But a girl can dream, and in this adorable cream dress I can close my eyes and pretend I'm cooler than Liv Tyler in an Aerosmith video.
Cheers!

With the support of fashion companies and foundations such as The PIerre Berge and Yves Saint Laurent Foundation, Longchamp, Galeries Lafayette, LVMH, Gucci Group, and Swarovski, Gareth Pugh has won the 2008 ANDAM fashion award -- a EUR150,000 endowment for the development of his brand.
Who knew that a BA collection comprised of beach-ball inspired sculptural pieces and a stint on fashion reality television would lead to a career like his! Congratulations Gareth. Pugh's bio after the jump.

Last night at the BET Awards, Alicia Keys glistened on stage as she sported the Black Swarovski Crystal Bodysuit from The Blonds’ Fall 2008 collection. The designers, a.k.a Phillipe and David, create each piece by hand using glamorous details such as these Swarovski crystals. “The Blond girl has one thing on her mind, a good time,” states The Blonds bio. Damn, if I were shining in that much Swaroyski, I’d be having a GREAT time!

I am sure that many of you have been eyeing this 3.1 Phillip Lim Two Toned Dress since it went up on the racks a few months ago.
But now that it’s only $239 down from $695 at Barney’s, you’d be fools not to snatch it up now.
The beaded lace detail and richly colored combo of oyster and coral give a shot of approachable elegance that will work for either a sleek city wedding or a casual cocktails at a downtown roof deck.

Actress Stephanie Silver looks super chic in a well-draped Rachel Pally dress over a James Perse tank with a Betsey Johnson bag and a pair of Christian Louboutins.
"I'm a California girl, so I try to keep it light and funky. I think of life as a carnival, but an elegant one."
